It’s been a pretty hectic month for me personally. I haven’t kept to my posting schedule strictly (oops!) and my fiction output fell to zero. I’m not particularly proud of admitting that, but it helps in easing the blogger guilt trapped inside just a little. I’m in dire need of inspiration to get off to a good start next month (I have plans! More about it at the end of the post).
[Note: Life is getting slightly more hectic than I’d planned for, so I’ve not been putting up Fictional Fridays in August thus far. I will get back to it once time permits. Even this post is hardly what you’d call wordy, but I’ve tried to make it as fun and entertaining as possible. Hope you enjoy!]
As I spend an increasing amount of time surfing through the Internet (mostly Twitter), I can’t help but notice some glaringly overused words and phrases. As my previous post On Overuse is probably my most successful post to date, I decided to pour out my annoyance in part two.
I was apprehensive about airing my views in a public space on this topic, but it had to be done. Too long have my thoughts endured the dark shadows of my mind, pining to be shared with the world. The hour has come to talk about the largely misinterpreted and controversial topic of women empowerment.
I spend a lot of time reminiscing, I don’t deny, for it is easier to imagine an age where the biggest decisions I had to make was the brand of chocolate I wanted that week. I wish I was still that little, that carefree and that sure of my choices. As the years passed, the impact of my decisions got larger and larger. Now I’m faced with the worst of them all – what am I going to do with my life?
